Tender Drawings are available on CD to purchasers of the tender document. Bidders must obtain a copy of the CD from the Tender Office of the Purchasing and Materials Management Division, 19th Floor, West Tower, City Hall, 100 Queen Street West, Toronto, during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
Proof of Tender purchase will be required to pick-up the CD. The vendors who have not purchased the Tender document will have to do so in order to obtain a copy of the CD.
SCOPE OF WORK:
• York Mills Road from Leslie Street to Don Mills Road, Ward 16 – Don Valley East
• Road Resurfacing of York Mills Road including replacement of deficient curbs, sidewalks and boulevards.
• It is anticipated this contract will commence on September 16th, 2019.
• This Contract, including all site restorations, clean up, and rectification of all known deficiencies, must be completed by no later than November 15th, 2019.
The project shall be divided into the following 2 phases:
Phase 1 - York Mills Road from Leslie Street to Don Mills Road
Phase 2 - York Mills Road from Lesmill to end
Phase 1 construction shall be divided into 5 stages as follows:
Stage 1 Curb, Sidewalk and boulevard work on north side of road
Stage 2 Mill and pave base asphalt in curb lane and middle lane on north side of road including base repairs
Stage 3 Curb, Sidewalk and boulevard work on south side of road
Stage 4 Mill and pave base asphalt in curb lane and middle lane on south side of road including base repairs
Stage 5 Utility adjustments and top asphalt paving
Phase 2 construction shall be divided into 2 stages as follows:
Stage 1 Curb and Sidewalk work on both sides of road
Stage 2 Utility adjustments, milling and paving of road
MANDATORY EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The Bidder must have the following experience in order to be considered for award:
• Must have completed a minimum of three similar linear infrastructure projects with a minimum value of $1 Million Canadian dollars each (excluding taxes). At least one of these projects must include municipal work including coordination with operations including tie in with existing systems.
• Certificate of Recognition (COR™) Requirement, or an Equivalent (such as ISO 45001) OHS Certification.
