Pre-bid meeting:Bidders must attend a mandatory site meeting at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal (9 Queens Quay W, Toronto, ON M5J 2H3) on September 26, 2018. Bidders will meet at 10:00 a.m. at Ferry Terminal Office . Site meetings may not be available at any other times. Separate meetings with Bidders will not be held.

Bidders MUST attend the site meeting to familiarize themselves with the work and ascertain the full extent of the Deliverables required.

Bidders must sign in with the City’s representative at the mandatory site meeting and clearly indicate on the sign-in sheet the name of the firm they are representing for their Quotation to be considered.

Bidders submitting Quotations that do not attend the mandatory site meeting SHALL be declared Non-Compliant.

Mandatory requirements and qualifications

Prior to award, if requested by the City, the Bidder must submit written verification that their service technicians are (add applicable certification e.g. ISSA) certified and authorized to undertake the installation and delivery services described in this RFQ. Failure to submit written verification of certification/authorization satisfactory to the City within a timeframe specified by the City will result in the Quotation being declared Non-Compliant.
Bidders must have five or more years' experience with building engineered heavy duty vehicle ramps.
Bidders must have heavy duty certified welders to complete this project.

The scope of work shall include but not be limited to the following:
[Replace entire City side vehicle Ramp with engineered ramp. Approx. 12ft. x 24 ft.
To be operated with the existing Hydraulic system.
Replace the curved end cover plate with reinforced frame. Approx. 12ft. x 28 inches.
Deck plating and end cover plating to be replaced with ¼ inch thick Galvanizes checker plating.
Steel Bar grating under the deck plate to be renewed. ( 12ft x 24 ft)
Install Marine Grade Industrial Strength Hooking System (Lock on Mechanism) from ramp to the ferry on the new Ramp.
New Hand Rails to be fitted on each side of the Ramp.
