The Scope of this RFQ includes the supply, delivery, installation and maintenance and support of items 1 in Appendix “C” – Price Form. The City will contact the manufacturer directly for all maintenance calls.

The City currently uses approx. 200 TB of NAS capacity with NetApp FAS3240 and FAS3140 devices, configured in 7-mode, and running 8.2.x ONTAP, which will be at the end of life cycle in 2018

3.1 For each piece of requested Hardware, the following must be included:

(a) The NAS Storage Hardware (including cabinets), management software and required Fibre Channel and Ethernet interface adapters;
(b) Professional Services including consulting, on-site proof of concept integration services, installation and configuration;
(c) Appropriate documentation, including physical architecture documents and drawings, and operational, maintenance, procedural guidelines; and assistance in any data migration activities deemed necessary by City staff in association with the data conversion from the current NAS Device to the proposed NAS platform. Any tools (hardware and/or software) required to complete this task will be provided by the successful bidder at no cost to the City
(d) Five (5) Years 24x7x365 Maintenance and Support services for all proposed Hardware, Software and Firmware.
(e) The Hardware must be installed in cabinets (provided by the successful bidder) equipped with redundant power distribution and twist-lock electrical plugs. Each plug must be locked into electrically separate receptacles located under the floor of a raised floor.

3.2 Bidders must review Appendix "F" Mandatory Technical Requirements Compliance prior to submitting a proposal to ensure that the new NAS platform meets City's business needs, the proposals must meet or exceed the mandatory requirements identified.

3.3 Professional Services are expected to be performed, the required tasks associated will include the following but not limited to:

(a) Initiate the Project with a project kickoff meeting. Introduce the Vendor and City Project teams and define the working relationship during the Project;
(b) Confirm the type and amount of interaction between the various participants in the Project. Agree on a progress reporting process, escalation process, location and frequency;
(c) Identify technical and informational assets to classify which Hardware, applications, and IT personnel are essential to the Project;
(d) Identify potential operational and management risks that may be encountered during the Project and notify the City of the strategies that will be used to mitigate those risks. Establish a counter-measure plan;
(e) Identify the City priorities and “critical success factors” with respect to the Project;
(f) Based on the Vendor's analysis of the City’s Requirements, determine the optimal configuration and the manner in which to deploy the Hardware and how the infrastructure will be installed and implemented; and
(g) Deliver, install, deploy and maintain the NAS (network-attached storage) Platform in accordance with the RFQ.
