Scope of work:
The work in this contract encompasses various local, collector and arterial roads in Scarborough District. The types of work include the following: pavement grinding and paving, adjustment of maintenance holes and catch basins, construction of curbs, gutters, sidewalks, sidewalk accessibility ramps, guide rail repairs, tactile walking surface indicator plate installation and any other item as outlined in this contract.
Prior to commencing work, the Contractor will receive a list of maintenance areas to be repaired in Scarborough District. The Contractor shall use this list to organize and coordinate the work, such that it progresses in an orderly, continuous manner. There will be no work carried out continuously until each list has been completed and/or permission is granted by the City Representative to proceed to the next area.
One hundred per cent (100%) of reinstatement and cleanup must be completed before moving to a new work area.
The Contractor agrees to complete the whole of the work comprising the contract within a time period of ninety (90) working days from the date of the written order by the Contract Administrator to commence construction, after the award of the contract.
Completion dates of the Contract may be extended subject to the required approvals being obtained.
The anticipated award date is June, 2019.
Site restorations, clean up and rectification of any and all deficiencies shall be completed no later than ten (10) working days after the completion date.
