Registered cleanup events are eligible for free litter and recycling bags. The City will also offer special litter collection for cleanups, subject to approval.

To book your cleanup event, please provide the following information:

Cleanup location and other notes
Cleanups must take place on public property such as parks, sidewalks, laneways, waterfront or ravines. Cleanups on private properties are not supported. If a City park is not listed, it has already been booked or is ineligible for a cleanup.

Scheduling Litter Collection

  • The City of Toronto will only approve special litter collection on April 26-28. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
  • Approval for special litter collection will be granted to groups that plan to collect a large amount of litter.
  • We encourage small cleanups to deposit litter and recycling in your residential bins or in City of Toronto street of park bins.
  • Please contact cleantoronto@toronto.ca if you have questions about whether or not litter collection is required.

The personal information on this form is collected under the authority of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, ss. 8(1) and 136(c). The information is used to process registration for Clean Toronto Together and for aggregate statistical reporting.
