Extreme Heat Alert terminated
  
Dr. Barbara Yaffe, Toronto's Acting Medical Officer of Health, has terminated
yesterday's Extreme Heat Alert and there is no Heat Alert for today, August 5.

The termination of the Extreme Heat Alert means the City's cooling centres will
not be open.

A Heat Alert is called when an oppressive air mass is forecast and the
likelihood of weather-related mortality exceeds 65 per cent. An Extreme Heat
Alert is called when the likelihood of weather-related mortality exceeds 90 per
cent.
