Toronto Heritage Grant Program

The City of Toronto is now accepting applications for the 2005 Toronto Heritage
Grant Program. The Toronto Heritage Grant Program provides matching funding for
eligible heritage conservation work on properties in the City of Toronto that
are designated under Parts IV or V of the Ontario Heritage Act.

As part of its restructuring, the program is now comprised of two distinct
project categories: (1) residential house form buildings; and (2) commercial
institutional, multi-residential, and industrial form buildings. In addition,
the Toronto Heritage Grant Program for 2005 has an approved operating budget of
$250,000. This represents a substantial increase in funding from previous
years. The City hopes that a broader range of conservation projects will
benefit from this additional funding.

The application deadline for the Toronto Heritage Grant Program is October 11.

For further information or to download an application form, visit

available at "A" Street Reception, 2nd Floor, City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.
