Mayor Miller and sponsors getting ready for 20-Minute Toronto Makeover

The 20-Minute Toronto Makeover, a city-wide litter pick-up event scheduled for
Earth Day, Friday, April 22, is back by popular demand. Groups and individuals
across Toronto are getting on board for this Clean and Beautiful City
initiative.

On Wednesday, April 20, Mayor David Miller and Councillor Jane Pitfield, Chair
of the Works Committee, will join representatives from the eight companies
sponsoring the 20-Minute Toronto Makeover -- TD Friends of the Environment
Foundation, Home Depot, Toronto Star, The Beer Store, Pizza Pizza, The Toronto
Sun, Tim Hortons and McDonald’s -- to show just a fraction of the litter
collected in Toronto every day. Equipped with brooms, dustpans, bags and
gloves, the Mayor and sponsors will appeal to Torontonians to join in the
clean-up and help make our city clean and beautiful once more.

Date: Wednesday, April 20, 2005
Time: 11:30 a.m.
