Exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Les Girafes -- in rehearsal
  
A decadent indulgence of colour, sound and light
Thursday, July 7, 6 p.m.

Who:
Les Girafes, Urban Operetta is an ambulatory spectacle set to original music
with elements of circus arts, theatre, dance and opera.

What:
Members of Compagnie Off (France) and Toronto’s SwizzleStick Theatre rehearse
in a downtown Toronto school yard. Watch as 18 artists learn to become a herd
of 8-metre high red giraffes while rendered blind and on stilts.

Artistic director, stage designer and creator Philippe Freslon will be
available for interviews (English / French).

Jaye Robinson, Director, Special Events, will be available to speak about the
7th annual Celebrate Toronto Street Festival.

Les Girafes, Urban Operetta incorporates elements of circus arts, theatre,
dance and opera. An event not to be missed.

Where:
In rehearsal: St. Michael's Choir School, 67 Bond Street - in the north school
yard, rain or shine.

When:
Thursday, July 7, 6 p.m.

The Celebrate Toronto Street Festival presents the Toronto debut of Les
Girafes, Urban Operetta from Compagnie Off (France) for two performances only -
Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9 beginning at 9 p.m. at Yonge - Dundas
Square.
