Youth Spirit Challenge Awards demonstrate spirit

Toronto Parks and Recreation will host the Youth Spirit Challenge Awards at the
City of Toronto’s newest community centre – the Wellesley Community Recreation
Centre. The Youth Spirit Challenge Awards acknowledge the efforts of the
volunteers and agencies that made the Youth Spirit Challenge Program possible.

Date: Sunday, April 10

Time: 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Location: Wellesley Community Recreation Centre
495 Sherbourne St. (North east corner of Sherbourne and
Wellesley)

The Youth Spirit Challenge is a program that introduces youth with disabilities
to the sport of dragon boat racing, promotes physical fitness, team spirit and
friendly competition. What separates Youth Spirit Challenge from other programs
is its inclusiveness and its recreational approach. Youth with all levels of
disability and all levels of athletic ability, family, caregivers and agency
staff are all welcome.
Drumming and dragon boat heads on display will add to the celebration.
