Road closure for Mel Lastman Square Canada Day festivities

In order to accommodate Canada’s 138th birthday, Yonge Street from Park Home
Avenue to North York Boulevard will be closed July 1 from 6 to 11 p.m.

Canada Day celebrations take place July 1 from 8 to 10:30 p.m. at Mel Lastman
Square featuring country singer Diane Chase, flamenco guitarist Robert Michaels
and a spectacular fireworks finale. Fun for the whole family, Canada Day at Mel
Lastman Square is free.

By TTC, take the Yonge subway line and exit at the North York Centre. Please
use public transit for a more efficient way of travel to Mel Lastman Square
(www.ttc.ca).

For a complete list of road closures, call Transportation Services’ Road
Information Line at 416-599-9090 or visit www.toronto.ca/transportation.

For more information on the Canada Day festivities at Mel Lastman Square, the
public can call Access Toronto at 416-338-0338 or visit www.toronto.ca/special_events.
