Toronto starts new program to cut car use and CO2 emissions
  
On Tuesday June 28, the City of Toronto will start a one-year pilot for staff
at the North York Civic Centre.

An Employee Trip Reduction program (ETR) will promote and study the impact of
alternative ways of traveling to and from work, such as increased use of public
transit, car-pooling, cycling and walking.

Councillor Shelley Carroll, Ward 33 - Don Valley East, will launch the program.
Interactive displays and staff from Public Health, Transportation Planning and
Pollution Probe will convey further details about the ETR pilot.
