Outgoing Vancouver Mayor Larry Campbell to address Policy and Finance Committee

At the invitation of Mayor David Miller, Vancouver Mayor Larry Campbell will
discuss drug strategy options at the City of Toronto Policy and Finance
committee.

In his time as mayor, Mr. Campbell oversaw implementation of Vancouver's Four
Pillar Drug Strategy. This included opening North America’s first supervised
injection site, expanding treatment options, increasing enforcement efforts and
a recently released comprehensive prevention plan.

“As a former RCMP officer and coroner Larry Campbell has considerable expertise
in the area of drug policy,” Mayor Miller said. “We are fortunate to have his
input as we consider how to implement our own drug strategy.”

Date: TOMORROW, November 22

Time: 10 a.m.

Location: Committee Room 1, City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.
