Heat Alert declared - media briefing today
  
Dr. David McKeown, Toronto's Medical Officer of Health, has declared a Heat
Alert for today, Monday, June 6. When a Heat Alert is declared, Toronto Public
Health activates a Hot Weather Response Plan involving The Red Cross and
community partners reaching out to vulnerable populations to advise of them of
health precautions.

Dr. McKeown will host a media briefing this morning to release the results of a
major study on the combined impact of heat and smog on mortality rates.

Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Fourth Floor, 277 Victoria St. (corner Dundas St. E, one block east
of Yonge St).
