Public forum explores solutions to community violence
Parks, Forestry and Recreation, in partnership with the Marcus Garvey Centre
for Leadership and Education and the creators of UMOJA -- The Spirit of
Togetherness, are hosting a public forum that will present the South African
perspective on violence in Toronto communities.

A discussion with mothers of children and youth about the South African
experience with community violence will set the stage for a positive exchange
of ideas for solutions to violence in Toronto.

Date: Monday, October 24
Time: 6 to 8 p.m.
Place: Marcus Garvey Centre for Leadership and Education, 160 Rivalda Rd.

There will also be a short drumming session by some cast members.
