Media Advisory: City of Toronto officially renames Brunswick Avenue Parkette in honour of Sally Bird
  
Councillor Olivia Chow (Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina) and representatives of Toronto
Parks, Forestry and Recreation and the Harbord Village Residents Association
will officially rename Brunswick Avenue Parkette to Sally Bird Park.

Date: Sunday, June 5
Time: 2 p.m.
Location: Sally Bird Park, 194 Brunswick Avenue (north of Harbord Street)

Ms. Bird was a local resident who was active in improving her community and was
instrumental in having the parkette created on the former site of an auto body
repair shop.

The renaming event includes greetings, an official sign unveiling and cake
cutting.
