Weekend road closures
A series of road and lane closures and intermittent delays will take place on
Sunday, October 16 to accommodate the Toronto Marathon.

The main segment of the race will take place on Yonge Street between Steeles
Avenue and Lakeshore Boulevard. Various road and lane closures will occur this
Sunday in the following areas between 3 a.m. and 4 p.m. to accommodate the race.
  • the area bounded by Steeles Avenue, Willowdale Avenue, Highway 401 and Allen Road/Dufferin Street
  • the area bounded by Highway 401, Mount Pleasant Boulevard, Bloor Street and Bathurst Street
  • the area bounded by Bloor Street, the Don Valley Parkway, the Gardiner Expressway and Bathurst Street.

For motorists traveling east or west, alternate routes include Highway 401,
Bloor Street and the Gardiner Expressway.

To accommodate the Toronto Marathon and the closure of the Bayview/Bloor ramps,
Bayview Avenue will be closed between Pottery Road and Rosedale Valley Road
between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Alternate north/south routes include the Don
Valley Parkway and Broadview Avenue.

The public is encouraged to use public transit (TTC and GO) as a convenient,
alternative choice whenever possible.
