Symposium to focus on quality of development and public spaces
  
The City Toronto is looking at ways to enhance the quality of buildings and
public spaces. One approach might be the establishment of a Design Review Panel
for development proposals. To explore this idea further, the City is hosting a
two-part symposium with international and local experts, developers, design
professionals, politicians and the public, in association with the Canadian
Urban Institute, Toronto Society of Architects and Ontario Association of
Landscape Architects.

PART I: June 29, 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Canadian Urban Institute (CUI) Urban Leadership Breakfast Session "Lessons from
Other Places"

Speakers to include design review experts from London (England), Boston,
Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Moderated panel debate and audience discussion "Toward a Made in Toronto
Solution"

Participants to include Mayor David Miller and speakers from the morning
session.
