Take extra time, be patient as first snow of season approaches

With the weather forecasts calling for snow this evening, here are a few
reminders from Transportation Services about how to best deal with the first
snow of the season.
  • morning rush hour tomorrow, Thursday, November 24, is expected to be slower than usual - use public transit wherever possible
  • be patient
  • use extra caution when driving or walking
  • take extra time to get to and from your destination

“The first snow of the season always means challenges for everyone,” said Gary
Welsh, General Manager, Transportation Services. “Our first priority is to
clear snow from the expressways and main roads. It’s important to use caution
when out, and be prepared for delays as we all get used to winter again.”
