Media Advisory: Toronto Cycling Ambassadors urge sharing of trails
The City of Toronto's Cycling Ambassadors will host an Off-road Awareness
Safety Information Stop (OASIS) to encourage responsible trail use, sharing and
respect for and preservation of the environment.

Date: Tuesday, August 30
Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Location: Ashbridge's Bay Park (Waterfront Trail)

More than 20 OASIS events have been held in various locations throughout the
summer. Thousands of people use the Waterfront Trail everyday and the majority
of users are cyclists.

The Cycling Ambassador program is a Toronto City Planning initiative. Through
the Ambassadors, this program provides safety information and raises
environmental awareness for all road and trail users -- cyclists, pedestrians,
motorists and in-line skaters.

This program is sponsored in part by Moving the Economy, Mountain Equipment
Co-op and the following in-kind sponsors: McBride Cycle, Bell Sports, Gary
Fisher Bicycles and Cliff Bar.
