Roncesvalles Avenue closed for Papal vigil and service

Roncesvalles Avenue, from Pearson Avenue to Westminster Avenue, will be closed
in both directions on Friday, April 8 from 5 to 10 p.m. because of a Papal
vigil and service.

City of Toronto Transportation strongly encourages those planning to attend the
event to use public transit.

“In the area where the event is being held, there is very little parking
available so taking public transit to the service is the best course of
action,” said Gary Welsh, Acting General Manager of Transportation Services. He
also added that vehicles will be towed if they are parked illegally. “It’s
imperative that we keep the roads accessible for emergency vehicles.”

For further information about these and other closures, check with City’s
RoadInfo Traveller Information Hotline at 416-599-9090 or visit the City’s Web
site at www.toronto.ca/transportation.
