Mayor Miller offers condolences to residents of London

Following the explosions that shook London, England earlier today, Mayor David
Miller extended his condolences to the residents of that city.

"I was deeply saddened to hear about this contemptible attack," said Mayor
Miller. "My heart goes out to every person who is suffering as a result of this
tragedy. The residents of Toronto stand in solidarity with people around the
world in their condemnation of this and every act of terror."

Mayor Miller also spoke about Toronto’s emergency preparedness.

"My office works in close cooperation and with police, fire, the TTC and other
City services to keep our city safe and secure. It is our responsibility to be
vigilant and prepared, so that Torontonians can continue to enjoy the security
of living in one of the safest cities in the world," said Mayor Miller.
