City of Toronto officially re-opens Cortleigh Park Playground

Councillor Karen Stintz (Ward 16 Eglinton-Lawrence) and representatives from
Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation will join the local community to
officially re-open the new Cortleigh Park playground, located on Cortleigh
Boulevard, just east of Bathurst Street on Sunday, May 29th.

The revitalized playground was a result of a joint funding initiative between
the City and the community, whereby local residents provided matching funds to
assist the City to re-develop the park. The event includes the unveiling of a
plaque, commemorating this great community partnership. Free refreshments, and
children's entertainment will be provided in the park during the celebration.

A ceremonial tree will also be planted in memory of community resident, Ann
Zeidenberg.

Date: Sunday, May 29
Time: 2 to 4 p.m.
Location: Cortleigh Park (Cortleigh Boulevard, one block east of Bathurst
Street)
