City conducts emergency practice drill at York University

The City of Toronto and its community partners will conduct a field exercise to
practice the plans and procedures that may need to be deployed should there
ever be a nuclear incident at the Pickering or Darlington Nuclear Generating
Stations.

The exercise will take place at York University, Keele Campus on Friday, May
27. It provides an opportunity to train staff and volunteers to develop the
skills and resources that are required to run a Reception/Evacuee Centre, as
required under the Provincial Nuclear Emergency Response Plan and Toronto
Nuclear Emergency Response Plan.
