City to host Green Toronto Awards gala event
Mayor David Miller and Deputy Mayor Joe Pantalone (Chair of Toronto’s
Roundtable on the Environment) will host the City of Toronto’s inaugural Green
Toronto Awards: Environmental Awards of Excellence reception May 2. The Green
Toronto Awards program received 155 nominations and three projects were
selected for recognition in each of eight categories, for a total of 24 Awards
of Excellence.

The judges will select one overall winner to receive a Green Toronto Award in
each of the eight categories and will announce their choices at the City Hall
event on Monday night. The eight winners of Green Toronto Awards will each
receive $5,000 to donate to the environmental organization of their choice.

Date: Monday, May 2
Time: 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Where: Council Chamber, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen St. W.
