Media Advisory: Bus your bike to the lake -- it's a breeze

The new bike racks on TTC buses are a great way for Torontonians to escape the
hot city streets this summer and enjoy the breezy shores of Lake Ontario. On
Thursday, City of Toronto staff will demonstrate how cyclists can use the TTC
to easily access the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) and the Waterfront
Recreational Trail.

Date: Thursday, August 18
Time: 9:30 a.m.
Location: Exhibition Place, Dufferin Gate

In mid-June, the TTC and the City unveiled a one-year pilot program that put
bike racks on the front of buses on selected routes so that cyclists can take
their bikes with them as they ride the bus. The racks can hold two bicycles and
are designed for easy loading and unloading.

Ride the bus with your bike all the way to the Ex. Rack and relax.

For more information about bicycles on the TTC call 416-392-7592, or visit
