City of Toronto, Toronto Police Service and Toronto Lynx host KICKS Soccer Clinic for youth

The Toronto Police Service and Toronto Lynx Professional Soccer Club in
co-operation with Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation will be hosting a
soccer clinic to engage and inspire young people.

The clinic will provide a positive environment where youth in at-risk
communities can interact with community mentors through extracurricular
activities. The goal of the day is to help young people become more
self-confident and team-oriented through soccer clinics, games and discussion
groups.

The clinic is part of the KICKS (Kids Involving Cops for Knowledge & Sport)
program and will involve young people between the ages of 10 and 14.

Date: Sunday, August 21
Time: noon to 4 p.m.
Location: Etobicoke Centennial Stadium
