City hosts first-ever Cargo Bike Festival
The City of Toronto will wrap up its Bike Week events by showcasing an
innovative solution to delivering large packages at the first ever Cargo Bike
Festival. City staff will be on hand to demonstrate these versatile vehicles
and promote sustainable active transportation.

Date: Saturday, June 11

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: East York Civic Centre, 850 Coxwell Ave.

Cargo bicycles can provide an attractive solution to demands for low pollution
post and parcel distribution. These unique bicycles are extremely popular in
crowded urban settings like London, England where they enable the distribution
of both letters and small- to medium-sized parcels in one tour. The use of
cargo bikes and promoting active transportation helps achieve the goals of the
Toronto Bike Plan.
