Media Advisory - Toronto Fire Fighters’ Association visit hospitals on Christmas Day
Once again, the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters’ Association is assisting Santa on Christmas morning by delivering him and his fire fighter helpers on shiny red fire truck sleighs to several hospitals in the city. Gifts will be distributed to the children who are in the hospital on Christmas morning.

For over 30 years, the fire fighters and Santa have been presenting gifts to children in hospitals on Christmas morning. The following is a list of sites that will be visited, and the times of arrival:
  • Scarborough Hospital, Grace Campus, 3030 Birchmount Rd., 9 a.m.
  • Scarborough Hospital, General Campus, 3050 Lawrence Ave. E., 10 a.m.
  • Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital, 2867 Ellesmere Rd., 11 a.m.
  • Birkdale Shelter, 1229 Ellesmere Rd., noon
  • Ronald MacDonald House, 26 Gerrard St. E., time to be determined
  • Humber River Regional Hospital, 2111 Finch Ave. W., 10:30 a.m.

The toys to be distributed to these children were generously donated to the Toronto Fire Fighters’ toy drive by residents and corporations in Toronto. The visits are sure to bring a little happiness to those children that are not able to be at home on Christmas morning.

Call Rick Berenz at 416-986-4130 on Christmas morning to confirm arrival times at the various locations.
