Mayor to launch Toronto Walks Month
  
Mayor David Miller will proclaim October "Toronto Walks Month" this Friday,
September 30 at Yonge-Dundas Square. The event is part of the "Get Your Move
On" campaign to make Toronto a healthy and physically active city.

The event includes a clinic on walking and a basketball demonstration by
Toronto Raptor Matt (The Red Rocket) Bonner. Speakers include Walking/Running
Room founder John Stanton and Rexdale community health leader Ekua Asabea
Blair. Information on Toronto's walking clubs, events and trails will be
available.

Date: Friday, September 30
Time: 1:15 to 1:45 p.m.
Location: Yonge-Dundas Square (corner of Yonge and Dundas Streets)
