Bikes on buses -- It fits a student budget

Bike racks on TTC buses provide an excellent way for students and staff to
commute to York University. Tomorrow, City of Toronto staff will demonstrate
how cyclists can use the TTC to commute to school and avoid the costs of rising
gas prices at the annual Smart Commute, North Toronto Vaughan Bike Event.

Date: Thursday, September 29
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: York University, Main Campus, 4700 Keele Street
(east of the William Small Centre)

In mid-June, the TTC and the City of Toronto began a one-year pilot project
that put bike racks on the front of buses, on select routes, so cyclists could
take their bikes with them when riding the bus. A TTC bus will be available for
cyclists to try out the bike racks.

For more information about bicycles on the TTC call 416-392-7592, or visit
