Media Advisory Launch of VE-Day 60th anniversary celebrations
  
Sunday, May 8 will mark the 60th anniversary of Victory in Europe. The federal,
provincial and municipal governments invite all residents to Exhibition Place
for a free afternoon of events, including a Victory March, Parade, Reflective
Ceremony, Victory Dance and Exhibits.

Members of the media are invited to interview Second World War veterans,
Canadian Forces soldiers, Honourary Co-chairs Hon. Hal (Henry) Jackman and
Captain (Navy) Sonja Bata and those who contributed on the home front. Vintage
music will be performed against a backdrop of military jeeps and period
artillery.

What: Media launch of VE-Day 60th anniversary celebrations
When: Tuesday, April 26, from noon to 1 p.m.
Where: Nathan Phillips Square, City Hall, 100 Queen St.
