Media Advisory: Forum offers business strategies and ideas for employing Toronto's youth
  
On February 12, 2004, the Intergovernmental Committee for Economic and Labour
Force Development in Toronto (ICE) will host "Employing Youth Today for a
Prosperous Tomorrow," a forum on job placement for youth.

What: ICE Youth Forum: Employing Youth Today for a Prosperous Tomorrow

Date: Thursday, February 12

Time: 8 - 11 a.m.

Location: National Trade Centre, Exhibition Place, CNE, 100 Princes' Boulevard,
Hall B, Salon 108 for registration.

Who: The Intergovernmental Committee for Economic and Labour Force Development
in Toronto (ICE) helps to co-ordinate Toronto's economic and labour force
development activities of the three levels of government including various
departments and ministries.

Participants will learn about partnership models that have been successful at
employing youth and programs and services to assist employers in hiring youth.
Presentations will be made by several associations including Landscape Ontario
Horticultural Trades Association, Collision Industry Action Group, Ontario
Tourism Education Corporation and Operation Springboard.
