Creative City expert Charles Landry to speak

On Tuesday, December 7, Charles Landry, an international authority on the
future of cities and the creative use of urban revitalization, speaks about how
to apply creative and innovative solutions to urban issues. His concepts bring
a fresh approach to city building and harnessing creative opportunities to
influence the policy, strategies and actions undertaken by cities. The event
will be hosted by Mayor David Miller and Councillor Kyle Rae, Chair of the
Mayor's Roundtable on Arts and Culture.

Charles Landry is the author of the Creative City: A Toolkit for Urban
Innovators. The Creative City seeks to inspire people to think, plan and act
creatively in the city and to encourage an "ideas factory" that turns urban
innovations into reality.

More information about Landry and his work can be viewed at www.comedia.org.uk.

Date: Tuesday, December 7

Location: Council Chambers, City Hall

Time: Admittance to Council Chambers - 7 p.m.
