Media Advisory: Councillor Giambrone leads the way on Walking and Wheeling Wednesday
City Councillor and Toronto Cycling Committee Chair Adam Giambrone will lead a
group ride from Dufferin subway station to City Hall this Wednesday, as Bike
Week's schedule of events continues. Councillor Giambrone, joined by Cycling
Ambassadors, residents and cycle enthusiasts, will demonstrate the City's
continued commitment to a bicycle-friendly future as he rides to City Hall for
his morning commute.

Photo opportunity:
8:30 a.m. - Group ride departs Dufferin subway station (Bloor and Dufferin),
led by Councillor Adam Giambrone, en route to City Hall.

Date: Wednesday, June 2

Time: 8:15 a.m.

Location: Dufferin subway station

The ride will be accompanied by the Cycling Ambassadors, the City's team of
expert cyclists. They will be on hand to give out Toronto's cycling map and
give cyclists tips on bicycle commuting.

The City of Toronto challenges citizens to walk or cycle everywhere they go
during Walking and Wheeling Wednesday. Councillor Giambrone will demonstrate
that walking or wheeling (by bicycle) is healthy and good for the environment.
