Little Italy illuminates as part of Cavalcade of Lights

What: Little Italy celebrates the inaugural lighting of a stunning new energy
efficient LED holiday lighting display. The display features three angels in
colour combinations of red, blue and green-each over three metres in
length-suspended above Lombardi Square at College and Grace Streets.

This illumination celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. with carolling, speeches and
entertainment. The public is invited to participate in the festivities.

When: Thursday, November 25, 5:30 p.m.

Where: Lombardi Square
Southwest corner of College and Grace Streets

Why: As part of the 38th annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank,
the City of Toronto is working with BIAs (Business Improvement Areas) in seven
of Toronto's famous neighbourhoods to profile Toronto's growing reputation as
one of the hottest shopping destinations in North America. This innovative
partnership includes the creation of specially designed energy-efficient
neighbourhood lighting displays and the launch of a hop-on, hop-off guided bus
tour conveniently linking the shopping, dining and entertainment experiences
offered by each of the participating neighbourhoods.
