Media Advisory: New community Diversity Garden opens in Alexandra Park
Councillor Olivia Chow (Ward 20 Trinity-Spadina), representatives from Toronto
Parks and Recreation, Scadding Court Community Centre and the Composting
Council of Canada will officially open the Alexandra Park Diversity Garden.

The opening ceremony will recognize the 10th Anniversary of Compost Awareness
Week in Canada.

Date: Monday, May 3

Time: 11:30 a.m.

Location: Alexandra Park (south/central section of park)
South-east corner of Bathurst Avenue and Dundas Street West

The community garden project is a successful partnership between the City of
Toronto, Scadding Court Community Centre, Composting Council of Canada, Fort
York Food Bank, Toronto Heart Health Partnership and Toronto Parks and
Recreation's Plant a Row, Grow a Row community gardening initiative.
