Councillor Adam Giambrone and Friends of Dufferin Grove Park to host Botswana delegation
Friends of Dufferin Grove Park and Ward 18 City Councillor Adam Giambrone will
host delegates from South East District of Botswana, including Chairman M.K.
Fologang, at a special "rink house supper" at 6 p.m. today, March 26.

The delegation is in Toronto as part of an HIV/AIDS partnership sponsored by
the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

Date: Friday, March 26
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Dufferin Grove Park rink house, 875 Dufferin St.

The rink house supper is a weekly community gathering, and participants,
including Councillor Giambrone, are pleased to host the delegation and provide
an example of successful neighbourhood engagement through community food.

"The community activities at Dufferin Grove Park, including the rink house
suppers, are a unique and wonderful source of joy in our neighbourhood. I join
Friends of Dufferin Grove Park in welcoming our visitors to the table for a
taste of everyday life in our community, and to learn more about theirs," said
Councillor Giambrone.

Friends of Dufferin Grove Park will also take the opportunity to show a recent
CBC documentary on some of the challenges they faced this winter when health
and safety concerns jeopardized some of their activities-challenges they we
were able to meet and overcome.
