Media Advisory: Join Toronto's "20-Minute Toronto Makeover" on Friday

At 2 p.m. on Friday, April 23, groups and individuals across Toronto will
engage in the 20-Minute Toronto Makeover, a city-wide litter pick-up event.

The City is providing special litter bags for the April 23 event. Participants
in the Friday event can still pick up small and large litter bags and gloves at
The Beer Store and Pizza Pizza locations.

City of Toronto staff at City Hall, Metro Hall and the civic centres, Toronto
Public Library, Toronto Transit Commission and many other organizations and
businesses will participate in the event by picking up litter in and around
their office buildings and facilities. More than 200 groups and 18,000 people
have already registered for the event.

Mayor David Miller will pick up litter on the sidewalk along Dundas Street East
at Parliament Street at 1:30 p.m., and at Riverdale Collegiate (1094 Gerrard
Ave. E.) at 2:00 p.m. with Councillor Paula Fletcher.
