Toronto residents can help in recovery of Haiti
The City of Toronto is offering information to its residents about how they can
help Haiti during its recovery from Hurricane Jeanne.

· Monetary donations:

Donations over $25 will be issued with a charitable receipt.

· Donations of goods, excluding clothing:

Please speak to the receptionist about your donation.

Donations most in need include money, non-perishable food, water and water
purification tablets, bandages, latex gloves, face masks and other medical
supplies, over the counter prescription drugs (especially pain killers and
drugs for digestive problems). The Consul General for Haiti (Toronto) will
arrange for items at this location to be delivered to Haiti.

If residents wish to give assistance to more Caribbean countries that have been
affected by recent hurricanes and storms, they are encouraged to donate money
to the Canadian Red Cross at, call 1-800-418-1111 or contact
their local Canadian Red Cross office.
