Media Advisory: Yonge-Dundas Square presents City Cinema series finale
A special CBC presentation: Songs for the Square

Fans of Canadian music can gather at Yonge-Dundas Square for the finale of the
City Cinema series. On Tuesday nights throughout the summer, the Square has
been transformed into an outdoor movie theatre to screen some of the legendary
music and movies of our time. Next week, the last special CBC presentation of
the series will showcase pre-recorded songs by celebrated Canadian artists.
Admission is free. Limited seating will be provided.

Date: Tuesday, September 7
Time: 9 p.m.
Place: Yonge-Dundas Square, southeast corner of Yonge and Dundas Streets

Featured performers in this 90-minute musical diversion include Jann Arden, Tal
Bachman, Isabel Bayrakdarian, Jully Black, Blue Rodeo, The Chieftains, Johnny
Clegg, Elvis Costello, True Daley, Celine Dion, Fefe Dobson, Great Big Sea, The
Guess Who, Sarah Harmer, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Molly Johnson, Oliver Jones,
Diana Krall, Mary Jane Lamond, Gordon Lightfoot, Maestro, Alanis Morisette,
Anne Murray, Oscar Peterson, Liberty Silver, Swollen Members and Nanette
