Media Advisory: Mayor David Miller to hammer away at affordable housing
  
On Monday, October 4, Mayor David Miller will join City staff volunteers to
help build a Habitat for Humanity home at a building site in downtown Toronto.
The Mayor and more than 500 City employees have volunteered to assist in the
construction of ten homes being built on the site.

What: Hammering with Habitat for Humanity
When: Monday, October 4, 8:30 a.m.
Where: 38 St. Lawrence St.

Later in the day, at 11a.m., Mayor Miller will participate in the launch of the
new book, Finding Room: Options for a Canadian Rental Housing Strategy,
co-edited by Dr. David Hulchanski, a expert on affordable housing, and Michael
Shapcott, who has worked with community-based housing groups for more than two
decades.

The book launch will take place at Members' Lounge of Toronto City Hall's
Council Chamber, at 100 Queen St. West.
