With an average of one million cyclists in Toronto, bike safety is extremely
important and information is necessary for all road users: cyclists,
pedestrians and motorists. Cycling is more than a leisure activity for many
people - it is a personal and sustainable form of transportation. Considering
the social, financial and environmental benefits of cycling, it is clear why
Councillor Giambrone wants to thank these exemplary individuals.

Information on the Cycling Ambassadors program will be provided at the event,
including safety brochures and the 2004 Toronto Cycling Map.

The Cycling Ambassadors would like to thank all of their sponsors: Bell Sports,
CAMEL BAK, Giro helmets, McBride Cycle, and Norco Bikes.
