Media Advisory: Ceremony marks official re-opening of York Civic Centre
  
Area residents are invited to attend a ceremony to mark the official re-opening
of York Civic Centre on Thursday, September 23 between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Dignitaries will unveil a commemorative plaque, plant a tree and cut a ribbon
during the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, tours of the building and refreshments will be
available.

What: York Civic Centre re-opening ceremony

When: Thursday, September 23, 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Where: 2700 Eglinton Ave. W., one block west of Keele Street on the north side

Between March 2003 and June 2004 York Civic Centre was completely renovated to
provide a range of public counter service functions and to accommodate the
Provincial Offences Court - Toronto West operations, making it one of the most
high traffic civic centres in the City of Toronto.
