Register now for City of Toronto development charges consultation workshops
  
What: Development charges public consultation workshops will collect
public input for the implementation of a new by-law, in advance of the
statutory public meeting on May 6, 2004.

When & Where:
General public workshop
  • Monday, March 29, 2004, 7 - 10 p.m.
  • St. Lawrence Hall, 157 King St. E.

    Business associations and development industry workshop
  • Wednesday, March 31, 2004, 1-4 p.m.
  • at the North York Civic Centre, Council Chambers, 5100 Yonge St.

    Why: The current development charges by-law expires on July 29, 2004.

    Development charges assist in financing capital projects required to meet the
    increased need for services resulting from growth and development. Revenue
    collected helps provide: roads, sewers, water works, parkland development,
    recreation facilities, transit vehicles, library facilities and materials,
    childcare, shelter and housing, and fire protection facilities.
