Celebrate Toronto Street Festival: Sponsors This festival would not be the same without you
Toronto Special Events -- Corporate sponsors generously support the Celebrate
Toronto Street Festival, ensuring the festival remains free and fun for all to
enjoy. This year's generous sponsors include Scotiabank, Direct Energy
Essential Home Services, McDonald's Special Events and American Express®.

Scotiabank is sponsoring the Celebrate Toronto Street Festival for the fourth
consecutive year. "The Celebrate Toronto Street Festival is a vibrant part of
our city's summer scene and has become a favourite for thousands of
Torontonians and visitors alike," said Joe Brandt, Senior Vice-President,
Toronto Region, Scotiabank. "Scotiabank is delighted to sponsor the festival
and we look forward to hosting the Scotiabank Jazz Café once again."

Direct Energy Essential Home Services will be the site sponsor at the Yonge and
Eglinton festival site, home of the Direct Energy Midtown Mix stage offering
for rock and pop concerts, thrill shows, sports and a giant midway. "At Direct
Energy, we realize the importance of contributing to the communities in which
we live, work and play," said Susannah Robinson, Senior Vice President, Eastern
Region, Direct Energy Essential Home Services. "With three offices in the
Greater Toronto area, the city is a key location for us both in terms of
employees and customers and we are delighted to be playing such a key role in
this annual celebration of Toronto," she added.

McDonald's Restaurants are proud to be the official sponsor of the Kid Zone @
Lawrence. Being a part of Toronto's Celebrate Toronto Street Festival further
exemplifies McDonald's strong commitment to the communities in which we do
business. This year, McDonald's Special Events will present the Ronald McDonald
Sports Zone, a premiere sports & entertainment attraction that encourages a Go
Active! spirit through fun and interactive games.

American Express is proud to be the presenting sponsor of both Summerlicious
and the Celebrate Toronto Passport programs on the Celebrate Toronto Street
Festival. These true celebrations of life in Toronto, American Express is proud
to help offer such incredible discounts for the entire city to enjoy. "We view
these programs as an opportunity to give something back to our loyal

Scheduled for July 9 - 11, 2004, the Celebrate Toronto Street Festival
transforms five intersections along the world's longest street, giving right of
way to a curb to curb celebration of tastes, talent and all that is Toronto!
Yonge Street, where it intersects with Dundas St., Bloor St., St. Clair Ave.,
Eglinton Ave. and Lawrence Ave., is converted into a stage for free
entertainment that covers the artistic spectrum. Named the "Best Festival" at
the 2004 Canadian Event Industry Association's Star Awards, this sizzling
summer festival stimulates audiences' senses with hot entertainment to see,
cool music to hear and delicious food to savour. Summerlicious, Toronto's
second annual summer restaurant program, offers special three-course prix fixe
menus at 100 participating restaurants. The Celebrate Toronto Passport offers
discounts at 20 of Toronto's thrilling destinations.

The Celebrate Toronto Street Festival takes place on July 9 (Yonge and Dundas
site only for Opening Ceremonies) from 8 to 10 p.m. The festival continues
throughout the weekend at all five festival sites, open 12 to 11 p.m. on
Saturday, July 10 and 12 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, July 11. Summerlicious and the
Celebrate Toronto Passport offers are valid from July 2 to 15.

Admission to the Celebrate Toronto Street Festival is FREE and getting there
couldn't be easier. All five festival sites are accessible via the Toronto
Transit Commission (TTC). Festival subway stops on the Yonge line are Dundas,
Bloor, St. Clair, Eglinton and Lawrence stations. TTC one-day Passes can be
purchased for $7.75 on both Saturday and Sunday.
