Media Advisory: City of Toronto hosts 5th Annual Toronto Youth Games
  
Mayor David Miller, Councillor Maria Augimeri (Ward 9, York Centre) and
representatives of Toronto Parks and Recreation will officially open the 5th
Annual Toronto Youth Games 2004.

Athletes aged 13 to 16 from across the city of Toronto are ready to compete in
wheelchair basketball, volleyball, track and field, and swimming. The games are
a celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie and enjoyment for youth.

The festivities get started with the opening ceremony on Saturday at 10 a.m.
with the parade of athletes. The games culminate with the medal presentations
and closing ceremony on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.


Dates: Saturday, August 7 and Sunday, August 8

Times: Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
