Media Advisory: Toronto Parks and Recreation launches new program to help youth
  
Toronto Parks and Recreation is launching the Youth Skating Leadership Program
which has been designed to encourage youth between 13 and 17 to become involved
with skating as a means to getting a job as a skating instructor or a hockey
referee. There is no fee to attend either the launch or the program.

Date: Sunday, October 24
Time: 2:30 p.m.
Place: Malvern Arena, 30 Sewells Rd. (north of Sheppard Avenue East at Neilson
Road)

This innovative program is consistent with the objectives in Our Common Ground,
Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan 2004 and is funded through the Ontario
Works Program.
