Mayor Miller to present SARS award to public health staff
  
Today Mayor David Miller will present Dr. Barbara Yaffe, Acting Medical Officer
of Health, and frontline Toronto Public Health staff with a Certificate of
Merit award for their "exceptional contribution in managing the SARS crisis".

Date: TODAY, July 12

Time: 2 p.m.

Location: Board of Health, Committee room 1, 2nd floor, City Hall

The Certificate is from the Canadian Public Health Association. During its
recent annual meeting in Newfoundland, the CPHA recognized Toronto Public
Health for controlling the outbreak and implementing "one of the largest
quarantines (13,374) in modern history".
