Toronto Fire and EMS give most important gift of all -- the gift of life

Toronto Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Headquarters will host to a
Blood Donor Clinic tomorrow, December 23, and all emergency services staff
invite you to join them by giving the most important gift of all -- the gift of
life.

Date: Thursday, December 23
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: 4330 Dufferin St. in the Atrium
(enter off Lodestar Rd., just north of Steeprock Dr.)

Many tragedies occur at this special time of year. When that is coupled with
business being closed for extended lengths of time, and people travelling to be
with loved ones, we tend to lose sight of the constant need for blood
donations. Since blood has a limited shelf life, the need for a boost in blood
supplies is amplified during the holiday season.

"The best thing about this gift is that it is very much needed, and so precious
- yet it costs nothing except a small amount of your time," said Fire Chief
Bill Stewart. "Please join our staff in this opportunity to give the gift of
life."

Appointments are still available for most times after noon, so please call
1-888-2Donate to book your appointment.
